Seamless and tileable textures
A texture that repeats has to join at its edges. These tools generate patterns that tile by construction, fix the seams of a photo with four different methods, build a normal map that tiles with its texture, and measure any texture with a seam ratio: the step across the wrap edge divided by the ordinary step between neighbouring pixels, where about 1 or below means the join is invisible.
Tools in this group
| Make Texture Seamless | Fix the visible seams of a texture so it repeats cleanly, and see the seam ratio drop. |
|---|---|
| Seamless Normal Map Generator | Turn any texture into a normal map that tiles: the image is made seamless first and the normal map is computed across the wrap edge. |
| Seamless Texture Generator | Generate a texture that tiles perfectly, from noise or a pattern, with a height map and normal map to match. |
| Tileable Texture Tester | Repeat a texture in a grid and measure whether its edges join without a seam. |
